The juxtaposition of the bold black against the bright yellow in this painting reminds me of that unforgettable 2010 number one single from American rapper Wiz Khalifa. At first look, this piece had me singing “Black and yellow, Black and yellow, Black and yellow, Black and yellow” and there was just no turning back - if you know the song… you’ll know!
