About ‘Atlas’
This painting is unmistakably mountainous. With its rich copper and gold tones, ‘Atlas’ is named after the Atlas mountains spanning Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. This painting has me reminiscing of my first trip to Morocco with my friends in my early 20s - where we toured the whole country. One of the highlights to our trip was our visit to the Altas mountains, exploring Kasbahs and visiting Berber villages.
